PROGRAM DELIVERY REVIEW

Your projects report progress.
But how is the program really tracking?

Cherry gives sponsors and delivery leaders an independent view of how connected projects are working together, what’s affecting delivery and where changes are needed.

Walk away with program findings, a cross-project dependency view and a prioritised improvement plan.

Typically delivered within 8 weeks of the agreed start, with timing agreed upfront.

We take on a limited number of engagements at a time.

Dependencies keep catching teams out

Projects rely on each other, but handovers, shared resources and ownership aren’t clear.

Decisions keep coming back

The same issues appear in meetings without a clear decision or anyone accountable for closing them.

Teams work differently

Different methods, tools and reporting processes make it difficult to get a dependable view across the program.

Project reports don’t tell the whole story

Each project reports progress, but you can’t see whether the program is on course to deliver its outcomes.

What you walk away with

An independent assessment, a clear view of dependencies and practical improvement priorities, brought together in one Program Delivery Review Report.

Program findings

Cross-project dependency view

How the program is really tracking, the evidence behind that assessment and the main issues affecting delivery.

Critical handovers, shared resources and dependencies across projects, including gaps in ownership and readiness.

Prioritised improvement plan

What to address first, recommended actions, proposed owners and the decisions needed to move forward.

Before we start

We agree the program boundary, up to five connected projects, review period, key questions and stakeholder interview list.

Weeks 1 to 2: Establish the picture

Your Cherry consultant reviews available program and project documents, including meeting records, and learns how your teams use their methodology, tools and processes.

Weeks 3 to 5: Test the delivery position

We conduct up to ten one-hour stakeholder interviews and examine critical dependencies, shared resources and unresolved decisions alongside the documented delivery position.

Weeks 6 to 8: Findings and priorities

We prepare the report and present the findings in a sponsor readout of up to 90 minutes. One consolidated feedback round allows for factual corrections and clarification before final handover.

Eight weeks to understand the program and agree improvement priorities.

The timeline is indicative. We can agree a faster delivery schedule depending on scope, availability and timely access to the right people and information.

HOW IT RUNS

What we need from you

An accountable sponsor, a program contact to coordinate access, and availability from the agreed stakeholders for interviews.

Access to all available relevant program and project documents, including meeting notes, plans, schedules, reports and governance records, plus the methodology, tools and processes your teams use.

Your team will need to help clarify gaps, contribute to the sponsor readout and provide one consolidated response to the draft report.

Is this for you?

✓ Good fit

You need an independent view of one program covering up to five connected projects.

You want to understand how dependencies, shared resources and delivery practices affect the overall position.

Your sponsor and teams can provide access to relevant information and participate in the review.

✕ Not the right fit

You need a full audit of every project or detailed technical assurance.

You need someone to take over program management or implement the recommendations.

You’re looking for an organisation-wide review across multiple programs and your PMO.

You get a clear view across the program, with evidence behind the findings and practical priorities for what needs to change.
